Entire Butt
was a beer created in England in 1722, partly as an indirect result
of the increased taxes on gin-making materials. This dark colored,
strong flavored beer was a huge success for English ale brewers,
and soon came to dominate the market in Great Britain. For better
or
worse, the name Entire Butt was lost in favor of a term associated
